Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rēhia would like to announce an exciting development from our Te Whare Tū Kainga o Ngāti Rēhia – Ngāti Rēhia Housing Services.
We have formed a Partnership with Gemscott Developments Limited, and our Partnership has been selected as the Preferred Developer by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the new Housing Development project at 57A Hall Road, Kerikeri. The project will deliver brand new homes for a variety of income levels. This partnership is an opportunity between hapū and an experienced developer to work together with a shared goal of building quality housing which is accessible to all.
Our vision for this project is a commitment to our hapū and community to have access to a home that supports their health, wellbeing, and aspirations. We believe that a safe, secure, and affordable home serves as the foundation for achieving this.
Gemscott brings valuable expertise to the project, having delivered over 550 homes to date mainly across Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau. One of their current projects is the Clark Road development, on which they have been working closely with the community.
As we embark on this exciting journey, we will continue to be transparent, engage with our hapū and community and provide a sustainable development.
