Ngāti Rehia warmly welcomed Associate Minister for the Environment, Hon James Shaw and his team with a pōwhiri at Te Ahurea, marking the unveiling of an extensive package of initiatives aimed at safeguarding our native biodiversity. Central to these efforts is the proposed establishment of a national biodiversity credit system, which will incentivize ‘nature-positive’ actions and conservation efforts.
