On behalf of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rēhia, we would like to invite you to join us on 27 March 2026 to celebrate the return of Kororipo Pā. Kororipo Pā was wrongfully transferred into private ownership in 1838 and since then, its title has unjustly passed into successive private and Crown ownership. It has taken almost 190 years for Kororipo to be returned to its people. Kua tae tātou ki taua wā.
We acknowledge and thank you for the support you have given over the years to ensure that we arrive at this point, whether that has been through the Tribunal claims hearings, the Crown settlement process, the continued upkeep and maintenance on our pā or the whakapapa connections we hold with iwi throughout Aotearoa that have proved to be invaluable as we look to celebrate this momentous occasion.
